Viblissimo has been a neighborhood fixture in the East Village for over eighteen years — first as Sakura Nail + Spa, now as Viblissimo Beauty. Our philosophy is simple: nail health comes first.

We use premium Japanese gels and products, and what truly sets us apart is our preparation process. Every technician trains extensively on nail prep before moving to solid colors — and only after mastering that foundation do they advance to nail art. That meticulous attention to detail means every edge is covered, every surface is perfect, and when the gel goes on, your nails look flawless from day one.

2. Where is Viblissimo located?

  We are at 35 East 1st Street in the East Village, right on the border of the Lower East Side, on 1st Street between 1st Ave and 2nd Ave. Whether you're coming from the LES, East Village, Brooklyn or anywhere in NYC, we're easy to get to and worth the trip!

 

3. What kind of nail art do you do?

 

Our nail art is fully customized. Text us your inspiration and we'll help you create your dream nails. Our technicians work with: Cat Eye, Chrome, Charms, Crystals, Hand Painting and 3D Sculpting, Foils, Glitter, Sequins, Traditional French, Reverse French, Chrome French, Diagonal French, Deep French, V-French, Micro French, Ombré, Gradation, Airbrush

 

4. Because every technician at Viblissimo trains on nail prep and solid color mastery before advancing to nail art, the artistry you see is built on a foundation of precision and technique.

 

5. What type of nail extensions do you offer?

 

We offer Gel-X extensions and gel form extensions. Gel X extensions are pre-shaped tips applied to your natural nail and sealed with gel for a clean, polished look. Gel form extensions are built freeform directly onto your nail using gel — no tip, just pure sculpting — for a completely customized shape and length.

 

Both options are lighter and more flexible than acrylic. Viblissimo does not offer acrylic extensions. Our technicians are trained specifically in gel application, so whichever extension you choose, the result is natural-looking, durable, and built with nail health in mind.

 

6. How do I book a same-day or last-minute appointment?

 

For same-day and last-minute appointments, the fastest way to reach us is by text or call. If you are reaching us before or after operating hours, text is best.

 

7. I just want a simple solid color gel manicure - how long will that take?

 

A solid color gel manicure at Viblissimo takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Even for a classic look, we never skip the prep. Our thorough nail prep process is what makes the color look flawless and last beautifully — so you leave looking polished and stay that way.

 

8. Can I get a gel manicure if I bite or pick my nails?

 

Yes — and you're not alone. Many of our clients come to us with short, bitten, or damaged nails. Our nail health-first approach means we meet your nails where they are. We'll assess your nails, talk through your goals, and recommend the best service for your starting point. Regular maintenance keeps your nails in better condition, which gives you less reason to pick or bite. 

 

9. How do you handle damaged nails? 

 

Every damaged nail situation is different, which is why we take a personalized approach. Whether you're dealing with peeling, breakage, thinning, or nails recovering from a bad set, we'll assess what's going on and recommend a path forward based on your nail health and your goals. Some options for broken nails and cracks are silk wraps and extensions, but for more intense or complex damage, we will recommend a nail care plan to help your nails grow out healthy in the future. Nail health is never an afterthought at Viblissimo — it's where we start.

 

10. Do you do pedicures for all genders?

 

Absolutely. Pedicures are one of the best things you can do for your feet. Our pedicures focus on nail health, skin care, and relaxation. 

 

11. Can I get a manicure if I am pregnant?

 

This decision is entirely up to you! Nail health and safety matter to us, which is why we're intentional about the products we use. We offer Zoya and Dazzle Dry polish options. Zoya is a 10-free, vegan, cruelty-free formula. Dazzle Dry is a 5-free, vegan, fast-drying system that air-dries in minutes.
